This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical specifications for product initiatives, covering system context, data flows, API contracts, acceptance criteria, and edge case definitions.
• Articulate and disseminate product vision, strategy, and roadmap informed by customer research, market analysis, and business objectives.
• Develop prototypes, proof-of-concept scripts, and lightweight automation to validate assumptions and expedite decision-making.
• Engage in the development process by comprehending existing code and implementing changes.
• Collaborate with engineering as an integral team member during design reviews, sprint planning, technical discussions, and pull request evaluations.
• Establish product metrics and design experiments, including A/B tests and cohort analysis.
• Independently extract and analyze data to drive prioritization decisions.
• Convert technical complexities into comprehensible narratives for business stakeholders and transform business context into actionable guidance for engineers.
• Decompose large initiatives into manageable increments as outlined in specifications.
• Guarantee a consistent delivery rhythm and early identification of scope or quality risks.
• Conduct customer research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder interviews to guide product direction and uncover high-leverage opportunities.
• Proficient in reading, understanding, and writing code.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise projects.
• Proven track record of delivery and execution.
• Experience with spec-driven product strategy and roadmap development.
• Competence in stakeholder communication and alignment.
• Background in data analysis and insight generation.
• Ownership of outcomes and realization of value.
• Technical fluency and systems thinking capability.
• Insight into customer and market dynamics.
• Experience in cross-functional engineering collaboration.
• Relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a BS degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management with demonstrated technical expertise.
• Experience in authoring technical specifications and contributing to codebases or engineering workflows.
• Preferred: background in spec-driven or design-document-driven development processes.
• Code competency, with the ability to read, comprehend, and review code.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and pull request processes.
• Experience with SaaS products, APIs, microservices, or platform products.
• Background in data analysis, A/B testing, and experimentation frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and delivery management tools.
