Technical Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product Managers to grasp priorities, sequencing, MVP scope, functional requirements, and desired outcomes.

• Convert product-defined requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, technical specifications, and delivery artifacts.

• Work alongside Engineering to break down tasks into clear, feasible, and testable stories.

• Coordinate with additional technical teams for any dependent work necessary to achieve the outcomes of your Squad's efforts.

• Monitor dependencies across Software Engineering, Data Services, QA, SRE, Architecture, and other cross-functional teams.

• Uphold Jira organization, story readiness, documentation, decision logs, and dependency tracking.

• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews as required.

• Act as Scrum Master by assisting in removing obstacles, enhancing team flow, and fostering continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with QA to ensure acceptance criteria are clear, testable, and aligned with expected outcomes.

• Aid in release readiness through coordination, validation planning, communication, and post-release follow-up.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience as a Technical Product Owner (or in a similar capacity) within a production software environment, with direct experience engaging with agile teams.

• Advanced comprehension of agile development processes and proven experience in promoting agile methodologies in a highly technical setting.

• Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities; skilled at working across various functions and diverse cultures.

• Experience in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, market dynamics, and evolving business needs while guiding teams accordingly.

• Formal people management experience is preferred.
