Technical Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Serve as a servant leader and advocate for agile and AI-enhanced methodologies within the teams, nurturing a culture of ongoing learning, innovation, data-driven decision-making, and responsible AI technology integration to enhance product delivery, operational efficiency, and business results.

• Act as the main steward of the product backlog for 1-2 teams. Collaborate with other product owners and engineering teams to develop and refine the enterprise roadmap.

• Manage backlog priorities and balance scope, budget, and timeline during monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles.

• Utilize AI-driven insights and engineering metrics to aid in planning, capacity forecasting, prioritization, and roadmap formulation.

• Employ AI-enhanced tools to analyze delivery patterns, pinpoint bottlenecks, evaluate risks, and propose solutions for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

• Harness AI-powered analytics, predictive insights, and data-informed recommendations to facilitate strategic decision-making, prioritization, capacity planning, risk evaluation, and roadmap refinement.

• Leverage AI productivity tools for crafting stakeholder updates, reports, presentations, summaries, and actionable insights derived from engineering and operational data.

• Clearly convey AI-generated insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Assume the primary product owner responsibilities during all agile ceremonies and lead workshops with users and agile teams to promote alignment and learning.

• Introduce and advocate for effective tools and practices; familiarity with Jira and Aha! is preferred.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience guiding platform engineers toward successful product deliveries in an Agile setting.

• Experience utilizing AI-powered tools to enhance productivity, documentation, reporting, backlog management, and stakeholder communications.

• Capability to assess and implement emerging AI technologies and automation options that boost engineering team performance and business results.

• Proven track record of identifying automation opportunities for manual product management and operational workflows using AI and workflow automation tools.

• Strong analytical abilities with experience in leveraging data and AI-generated insights to inform decision-making and prioritization.

• Demonstrated experience using AI-powered tools to track, analyze, and report on software engineering KPIs.

• Experience working with global engineering teams, especially those located in India and North America and/or Europe.

• Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) for engaging with all internal stakeholders, executives, and business customer groups.

• Ability to act as the technical leader for a distributed, collaborative, and highly skilled team of Cloud Ops engineers.

• Experience in training engineers in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a plus.

• Certifications (preferred): Certified Scrum Professional - Product Owner or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
