This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the main point of contact for 3–4 NGO partners simultaneously, fostering trust, exploring collaboration opportunities, and identifying challenges through structured discovery processes.
• Convert partner requirements into actionable roadmaps and provide technical advice concerning product development, data management, evaluation, and experimentation.
• Provide feedback on insights gained from partner collaborations, identify trends among organizations, and assist in disseminating lessons learned as public resources.
• Create dashboards, data pipelines, AI evaluations, and production integrations.
• Analyze data to identify trends, conduct A/B testing, and engage in user research.
• Define and drive product roadmaps for TAF's toolset.
• Simplify complex partner workflows into clear engineering specifications.
• Facilitate agile sprints in collaboration with TAF's engineering team.
• Deliver essential features and manage the entire process from identifying partner needs to product delivery and feedback collection.
• Mentor partner organization staff on processes and enhance their technical and leadership skills.
• Assist partner organizations in recruiting for key positions.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to Lighthouse Fellows.
• Contribute to TAF's internal playbook by documenting effective practices and formalizing engagement frameworks.
• Attain independent agency on at least two NGO partners within 90 days.
• Achieve at least one quick win within the first 90 days.
• Manage 3–4 partner engagements from start to finish within a year.
• Train others and enhance frameworks, documented procedures, or playbooks within a year.
• Over 5 years of experience in technical product management, solutions engineering, or technology consulting.
• Preferably, a background in both client-facing and engineering-oriented roles.
• Proven success in a low-resource, mission-driven, or Technology for International Development environment.
• Experience delivering AI/LLM product features, data pipelines, or warehouses, and production APIs.
• Proficient in reading and writing SQL, navigating codebases, and creating data pipelines and dashboards.
• Established experience utilizing quantitative methods for causal inference, such as A/B testing or predictive analytics.
• Capable of designing studies, interpreting results, and presenting findings to non-technical program directors.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including sprints, backlog grooming, estimation, and retrospectives.
• Proven ability to manage competing stakeholder needs among engineers, behavioral scientists, and NGO program teams without formal authority.
• Bonus: experience with global development data stacks like ODK, DHIS2, Kobo, Metabase, or dbt.
• Bonus: familiarity with the evidence-based development ecosystem, including J-PAL, IPA, or IDinsight.
• Bonus: previous experience at a B2B product company balancing customer success with internal engineering priorities.
• Bonus: exposure to GenAI product development, including evaluation frameworks, prompt engineering, and LLM integrations.
