This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and consistently enhance JLV’s Product Strategy, Vision, and Roadmap.
• Hold regular meetings with clinicians, business owners, and end users to collect insights and comprehend their needs.
• Act as a representative for the product in discussions regarding VA interoperability.
• Manage, prioritize, and refine the Product Backlog; ensure it aligns with the roadmap and evolving customer requirements.
• Utilize WSJF prioritization for features; negotiate with business, technical, and architectural partners.
• Guarantee that every feature includes a clear benefit hypothesis and acceptance criteria.
• Convert cross-functional requirements into epics that can be executed within a single Program Increment.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure readiness of the backlog, proper sequencing, and balanced capacity.
• Facilitate continuous delivery flow through both program and team backlogs.
• Showcase product vision, roadmaps, and milestones during PI Planning events.
• Engage in or lead PI planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
• Maintain product artifacts including user flows, journey maps, release notes, roadmaps, and decision logs.
• Ensure that product activities comply with VA policy, budget restrictions, and strategic modernization objectives.
• Incorporate ISO responsibilities when relevant (security, compliance, risk alignment) while referencing enterprise guidelines.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related technical field; or 10 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.
• 15 years of experience in IT/software product management, encompassing product strategy development, roadmap execution, backlog management, and delivering customer-centric features.
• Practical experience throughout the SDLC utilizing Agile/SAFe methodologies, with a strong focus on prioritization, stakeholder communication, and value-driven decision-making.
• Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats to executive audiences.
• Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively across multiple concurrent products or initiatives.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Teams; familiarity with Jira (epics/stories, workflows, dashboards).
• Analytical and detail-oriented; capable of producing precise, high-quality deliverables.
• Experience with governance, performance metrics/AQL tracking, and program-level reporting.
• Skills in servant leadership, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution.
• Ability to document requirements and suggest practical, customer-focused technical and product management strategies.
• Familiarity with VA Healthcare IT products/processes, including exposure to VA/EHR interoperability environments when applicable.
