This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main product owner for the designated mission-area platform user.
• Guide technical interactions with mission stakeholders to comprehend operational challenges and collect product requirements.
• Create, maintain, and convey a prioritized product roadmap.
• Specify product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
• Collaborate with platform engineering, software engineering, cybersecurity, and mission stakeholders to assess solutions and technical trade-offs.
• Oversee product planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and feature prioritization.
• Evaluate customer feedback, operational metrics, and platform usage data to enhance developer experience and platform functionalities.
• Convert recurring customer demands into scalable platform services.
• Share product vision, roadmap priorities, feature statuses, and release strategies.
• Ensure that delivered features meet customer expectations and comply with platform engineering standards.
• Establish trusted relationships among engineering teams and mission stakeholders.
• Assess industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities and mission results.
• Bachelor's degree with over 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with over 10 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in designing, building, and operating production platforms.
• In-depth expertise in Azure Cloud Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing technical products, platforms, or cloud-native services, including product strategy, roadmaps, backlog prioritization, and customer-centric delivery.
• Strong technical understanding of modern software development, cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, and platform engineering.
• Experience in gathering customer requirements and converting operational needs into actionable product specifications.
• Capability to balance customer expectations, engineering resources, security mandates, and long-term platform strategy.
• Proficiency in effective communication with executive leadership, mission stakeholders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• An active Secret security clearance is mandatory.
