Technical Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the roadmap for the disposition of legacy applications across various workstreams within the payments program.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to establish technical requirements and plan the sequencing of migration and remediation tasks.

• Monitor application inventories and the status of dispositions, proactively identifying risks before they become obstacles.

• Organize migrations to the target infrastructure, managing timelines and dependencies between teams.

• Convert business and compliance requirements into clear, actionable technical tasks.

• Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and other delivery ceremonies alongside engineering teams.

• Align stakeholders from business, technical, and compliance sectors on priorities and trade-offs.

• Provide updates on progress and risks to program leadership, supported by data.

• Spot opportunities to streamline or expedite the legacy retirement process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Manager or Technical Product Manager, preferably in infrastructure, migration, or modernization projects.

• Proven experience in managing application retirement, remediation, or platform migration initiatives.

• Ability to work directly with engineering teams to define technical scope and sequencing.

• Knowledge of payments systems or technology environments related to financial services.

• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies, including backlog management and sprint ceremonies.

• Strong stakeholder management abilities, with experience in aligning technical and business teams.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure migrations, ideally within AWS.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical complexities for non-technical audiences while maintaining organization across multiple components.
