📋 Description

• Define comprehensive requirements for Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, encompassing model behavior, system functionality, and user experience.

• Convert model capabilities, evaluation findings, and technical limitations into clear product and system decisions.

• Make informed trade-offs regarding quality, latency, cost, reliability, safety, and user experience (UX).

• Collaborate closely with Machine Learning (ML), backend, and client engineers on system design, evaluation, and iterative processes.

• Establish and refine evaluation frameworks that incorporate offline metrics, online experiments, and human feedback.

• Set clear quality standards and feedback mechanisms for AI-driven experiences.

• Drive project execution through precise specifications, prioritization, and sound technical judgment.

• Identify potential failure modes and ensure that Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems operate predictably and can recover smoothly.

• Take ownership of product quality from start to finish, including accuracy, reliability, usefulness, and user trust.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) is essential.

• Strong foundational knowledge in computer science and system design.

• Deep understanding of contemporary Machine Learning (ML) practices and the operational behavior of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems in production environments.

• Proficient in interpreting technical designs, comprehending architectures, and engaging thoroughly with engineers.

• Strong intuition regarding model limitations, hallucinations, evaluation processes, and failure scenarios.

• Extensive experience managing complex, technical products from inception to completion.

• Practical experience with AI-powered products, particularly those based on large language models (LLMs).

• Familiarity with model evaluation, experimentation, prompting, or the iterative development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems.

• Ability to translate vague problems into clear requirements, measurable results, and actionable plans.

• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to exercise judgment when solutions are not immediately apparent.

• Highly technical, inquisitive, and comfortable delving into complex subjects.

• A strong inclination towards delivering results, experimentation, and learning from real-world applications.

• Capable of constructively challenging engineers and researchers while fostering strong collaboration.

• Comfortable with substantial ownership in a dynamic, zero-to-one environment.

• MUST BE WILLING TO COMPLETE A 60-MINUTE CODING ASSESSMENT.

• An engineering background is a significant advantage.

• Experience in launching AI-centric consumer products is a plus.

• A background as an engineer or a highly technical product manager is beneficial.

• Familiarity with defining evaluation metrics for Machine Learning (ML) systems is an asset.

• Strong intuition for user experience (UX) patterns and failure management in Artificial Intelligence (AI) is desirable.

• Previous experience in zero-to-one product development environments is advantageous.
