This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Provide assistance to users of the IBM Planning Analytics finance planning tool during the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Carry out application administration tasks and set up new users.
• Support reports generated using Planning Analytics for Excel.
• Address ad-hoc user inquiries.
• Maintain system documentation and conduct end-user training sessions.
• Collaborate with FP&A and technical teams to pinpoint and implement enhancements to the IBM Planning Analytics system.
• Work with the development team on gathering requirements, preparing test cases, conducting unit testing, documenting processes, training users, and managing system upgrades and enhancements.
• Manage projects to deliver system upgrades and improvements based on change requests.
• Test code updates and changes outlined in the roadmap.
• Comprehend data flows and identify opportunities to enhance reliability, repeatability, and integration with enterprise tools.
• Streamline reporting and analysis processes by automating or simplifying self-service support options.
• Recognize opportunities for process improvements that foster innovation.
• Execute other system-related responsibilities as required by business needs.
• Over 4 years of experience in IBM Planning Analytics development (version 2.0 or higher).
• Strong grasp of finance principles and experience in supporting financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Experience collaborating with finance analysts.
• Ability to effectively engage with users across all seniority levels and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Familiarity with server installation and system configuration.
• Understanding of cube and application design.
• Knowledge of Planning Analytics TI and Chores.
• Familiarity with Rules and Feeders.
• Understanding of Planning Analytics Security, including Element Security.
• Proficiency in MDX and SQL.
• Familiarity with Planning Analytics REST API, preferably via Cubewise Canvas.
• Practical experience with Python, TM1Py, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
