
Technical Marketing Manager – AppSec, Research and AI Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Monitor engineering output, tool releases, research publications, conference presentations, and milestones, ensuring each receives appropriate exposure.
• Address the current backlog of released tools and research that has not been publicly documented.
• Develop case studies, briefs, blog drafts, and marketing materials that cater to both technical and business audiences.
• Collaborate with Technical Editing on content workflows, particularly regarding report publications and blog creation, while providing additional writing support when required.
• Oversee the content calendar across various practices. Manage publishing timelines to ensure consistent coverage and prevent any oversight.
• Manage social media platforms including X, LinkedIn, and Bluesky. Ensure a regular posting schedule, actively engage with the community, and expand our audience.
• Handle Trail of Bits’ representation at industry events and pertinent conferences.
• Prepare and brief engineers and leadership in advance of external engagements.
• Design and execute multi-channel campaigns (social media, email, webinars, conference activities) that enhance the sales pipeline.
• Gather and organize customer proof points: testimonials, client logos, and case studies that bolster sales efforts and credibility.
• Enhance existing benchmarks, monitor performance, and establish a reporting routine to keep the team informed about successful strategies and areas for continued investment.
• Create dashboards and regular reporting routines that link marketing initiatives to pipeline and revenue results.
• Acquire market insights through customer discussions, competitor analysis, and community involvement to refine our service positioning.
• Experience in marketing within AppSec, AI/ML Security, or Research & Engineering.
• Active engagement in security community discussions.
• Proficient in technical writing targeted at security audiences.
• Proven track record in demand generation at a security or developer tools organization.
• Familiarity with social media dynamics in security communities.
• Technical fluency relevant to developers.
• Experience in marketing reporting related to the security pipeline.
• Proficient in HubSpot within a B2B security or developer tools context.
• Knowledge of AI tools for producing security-related content.
• Experience with analyst relations (Gartner, Forrester) or industry awards programs (preferable).
• Background in PR and crisis communications (preferable).
• Experience in a professional services or consulting environment (preferable).
• Familiarity with customer journey mapping, client segmentation, S-curve analysis, or practice-level market positioning (preferable).
• Experience in structuring web content and proof points for AI discoverability and agent-ready evaluations (preferable).
• Familiarity with NPS programs or customer feedback mechanisms that influence marketing strategy (preferable).
