This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees and directs all engineering activities throughout the proposal, design, and construction phases of assigned transmission line projects.
• Ensures project oversight by managing the engineering scope in accordance with contracts, developing change orders, and adhering to project timelines.
• Coordinates and directs the activities of various disciplines on a significant project or group of large-scale projects.
• Maintains high quality standards to fulfill both internal and external client requirements, aligning with company expectations.
• Supervises design tasks performed by T&D team members.
• Reviews project deliverables, such as drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports.
• Provides strategic guidance, leadership, and technical oversight to help the team achieve individual, departmental, and organizational performance objectives.
• Coaches, mentors, and develops engineering personnel to promote their professional growth.
• Manages team resource planning, performance evaluations, and ongoing training to facilitate team members' professional development.
• Responsible for the financial management of the team, including creating annual budgets, conducting monthly forecasts, and ensuring the successful achievement of financial objectives.
• Collaborates with the Sales team and engineers throughout the organization to enhance revenue growth and expand services for both existing and prospective clients.
• Aids in proposal development by providing resources, generating content, and reviewing submissions.
• Cultivates and maintains strong, positive relationships with current clients to guarantee ongoing satisfaction and engagement.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Transmission Line design is mandatory.
• Consulting engineering experience is preferred.
• PE registration is required.
• Prior management experience is preferable.
• Must be analytical, self-driven, and capable of working under high-pressure conditions while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
• Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, the public, and external agencies.
• Demonstrates a high level of initiative and a proven ability to manage multiple projects with clear expectations and deadlines.
• Possesses excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills.
• Shows a strong level of initiative and seeks out new opportunities while considering organizational risks.
• Must be a strong team player and supporter of the “First Team” concept.
• Experienced with PLS-CADD and capable of training new users.
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
• Must have authorization to work permanently in the US.
