This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Lead technical initiatives for a team of software engineers.
• Develop software solutions for workload security products that cater to complex and scalable customer environments.
• Enhance scalability, performance, reliability, robustness, and security.
• Contribute to the architecture of backend services.
• Gather and process telemetry data at scale from customer environment sources.
• Adapt to environmental changes and implement policies for numerous enforcement points.
• Create low-latency API endpoints while managing substantial data volumes.
• Design and implement services within intricate distributed-system settings.
• Architect, design, evaluate, and brainstorm customer-facing product solutions.
• Employ agile methodologies and integrate feedback from customers, peers, technical solution architects, customer enablement engineers, and support engineers.
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in software system development.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Go, C++, or Java.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in a software engineering context.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 4 years, PhD with 2 years, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• If lacking a degree, a minimum of 10 years of pertinent professional experience is required.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, systems, databases, performance engineering, and security architecture.
• Experience in schema/data modeling design.
• Familiarity with large-scale event processing architectures.
• Background in systems programming and performance engineering.
• Knowledge of security architecture and database design.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Skilled in programming with cloud APIs for AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Willing to adopt agile methodologies that involve rapid prototyping and feedback from customers, peers, architects, enablement, and support teams.
• Capability to architect, design, analyze, and brainstorm solutions that enhance products and deliver customer-facing functionalities.
