Technical Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of software architecture to ensure that both new and existing projects are meticulously planned and designed to fulfill business requirements.

• Proven experience in developing Ethereum smart contracts and proficiency with the web3 technology stack.

• Demonstrated expertise in full-stack development.

• In-depth knowledge of technical security concerns and best practices across the entire stack.

• Strong grasp of build and deployment processes, along with their best practices.

• Stay informed about emerging tools and technologies for future planning and potential adoption.

• Shape and establish software development methodologies through sound design choices, processes, and tools.

• Conduct thorough reviews of the work and code produced by others.

• Oversee and coordinate distributed teams across various time zones.

• Recruit both technical and non-technical project team members, facilitate onboarding, and set expectations for the department and individual contributors.

• Accountable for personnel management, including guidance, coaching, and career development for team members, which encompasses evaluating performance, providing feedback, and termination when necessary.

• Exhibits a commitment to quality, rigor, and discipline throughout the technical organization.

• Manage technical support for a high-availability end-user application to adhere to SLA requirements.

• Oversee the creation, iteration, and approval of technical requirements and user stories.

• Tasked with planning, directing, and managing the daily operations of a development team responsible for multiple applications and external interfaces.

• Charged with developing and managing the product roadmap.

• Schedule tasks while identifying key assumptions, critical paths, risks, and dependencies among people, resources, and project constraints.

• Anticipate, evaluate, and mitigate development challenges for the project; escalate issues as needed.

• Promote knowledge sharing within and across teams, including the development of documentation.

• Lead the ongoing enhancement of development and release processes, coordinating efforts with quality and business team members for seamless production releases.

• Responsible for meeting deadlines, ensuring product quality, and guaranteeing that the final product aligns with requirements.

• Demonstrates strong proactive communication skills in managing changes within the team and across the organization.

• Exhibits strong skills in vendor selection and management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of full-stack development experience (required).

• At least 3 years of experience leading a development team (required).

• Demonstrated career progression and development with increasing levels of responsibility.

• Experience successfully managing an Agile-style team.

• Familiarity with Atlassian team management tools or similar platforms.

• Experience collaborating with diverse teams across various non-technical roles.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate clearly and concisely in English (required).

• Experience managing distributed teams (preferred).
