Technical Lead, Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Develop products that empower scientists and engineers with foundation models for biology.

• Take ownership of features from inception to completion, transforming innovative research into dependable, high-quality products.

• Collaborate closely with Product Engineers.

• Design, create, test, and deploy features that encompass back-end services and front-end interfaces for B2B biology products.

• Establish engineering patterns and standards for the areas you oversee.

• Guide and mentor fellow engineers through code reviews and collaborative coding sessions.

• Work in tandem with Product Engineers and platform/infrastructure engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in producing clean, well-tested, and maintainable Python code in a production environment.

• Proficient in back-end services and comfortable with contemporary front-end development (JavaScript/TypeScript with modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or similar).

• Strong understanding of SQL and capable of designing effective data workflows.

• Practical experience in deploying applications and machine learning models in the cloud (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure is a plus) using containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Solid understanding of core computer science principles, data structures, and modern CI/CD practices.

• Excellent knowledge of object-oriented and functional design principles.

• Proven experience in establishing technical patterns, leading design efforts on cross-functional projects, and mentoring other engineers.

• Experience in designing and integrating APIs (e.g., REST, gRPC) for delivering complex applications.

• Comfortable utilizing agentic coding tools (e.g., opencode, Claude) as part of your daily workflow.

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• Full professional fluency in English is mandatory for this position.
