Technical Lead Manager, MLOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of our Data Science platform and define a 1-2 year roadmap to develop a sophisticated and stable system.

• Integrate into scientific projects to ensure that engineering quality is incorporated from the outset.

• Develop templates to facilitate the rapid deployment of new systems.

• Advance our AI-assisted development initiatives.

• Serve as a thought leader within the Veho data and engineering community, guiding how to utilize AI to enhance development speed.

• Oversee the Machine Learning Operations team.

• Write code, evaluate designs, and establish the technical standards.

• Collaborate closely with our Agentic Developer Experience and Builder Experience teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering, or a Master's Degree with at least 4 years in the same field.

• Experience with ML platforms, including training and serving infrastructure, feature stores, orchestration, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.

• Proven experience leading impactful, high-velocity ML Platform / ML Ops teams in smaller organizations.

• Demonstrated ability to drive the adoption of AI/agentic tooling within an organization.

• Practical experience with open-source tools for large-scale ML (e.g., Ray, Flink, Feast).

• In-depth knowledge of cloud-based data engineering and data science tools (preferably AWS) and Data Warehouses (such as Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake).

• High proficiency in Python.

• A keen interest in developing systems within a Supply Chain context, ensuring that the physical supply chain operates seamlessly.
