This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Lead and build the platform engineering team, overseeing recruitment, performance management, and career development to expand the team within a growing engineering organization while maintaining high technical and cultural standards.
β’ Take charge of the infrastructure roadmap and technical strategy, translating product and business requirements into a prioritized backlog and documented architectural choices that balance speed, cost, and reliability.
β’ Enhance engineering productivity by promoting self-service infrastructure, optimizing CI/CD for the monorepo, and developing developer tools that reduce deployment times to mere minutes.
β’ Elevate the standards for reliability and security with zero-trust IAM, comprehensive observability across tier-1 services, proactive alerting, and blameless incident and post-mortem practices, aiming for multi-region readiness and institutional-grade SLOs.
β’ Collaborate with product, protocol, and business teams to advocate for platform engineering in planning, translating infrastructure trade-offs into business implications, and ensuring the platform facilitates rather than hinders product delivery.
β’ Define the engineering culture through exemplary practices including clear architectural documentation, infrastructure-as-code standards, and mentorship that empowers engineers to grow and deliver with confidence.
β’ A minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, including at least 3 years in managerial roles overseeing engineering teams.
β’ Proven history of building and scaling production infrastructure from startup to enterprise level, taking responsibility for reliability and developer experience outcomes.
β’ Experience leading platform or infrastructure transformations that have demonstrably enhanced developer velocity and reliability, supported by concrete metrics.
β’ Profound technical knowledge in event-driven architectures, Kubernetes-based platforms, GitOps, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
β’ Sufficiently hands-on to review architecture, steer technical discussions, and participate in incident response, all while prioritizing management responsibilities.
β’ Strong cross-functional leadership skills: able to impact decisions across product, protocol, and business teams without direct authority.
β’ Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where established procedures are not yet defined.
β’ Excellent asynchronous communication skills demonstrated through RFCs, runbooks, and incident reviews.
β’ High level of ownership and autonomy combined with a team-oriented, low-ego approach.
β’ A genuine interest in cryptocurrency and decentralized finance (DeFi).
β’ Expect competitive, top-tier compensation
β’ Enjoy real flexibility
β’ Experience time together in Paris
β’ Benefit from excellent health coverage
β’ Receive support for continuous learning
