Technical Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Deliver advanced technical engineering analysis and advisory support for IHSC enterprise IT systems and infrastructure.

• Assess system architectures, technical designs, and solution proposals to ensure they meet operational, security, and performance criteria.

• Assist in the evaluation of enterprise system modernization, integration, and lifecycle management initiatives, providing insightful recommendations.

• Identify and evaluate technical risks related to scalability, interoperability, performance, and sustainability.

• Review and verify technical documentation, system designs, and engineering outputs.

• Work collaboratively with project managers, developers, security teams, and OCIO stakeholders.

• Aid in troubleshooting intricate technical challenges impacting multiple systems.

• Advise leadership on technical trade-offs, associated risks, and strategies for mitigation.

• Ensure that technical recommendations are in accordance with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive technical knowledge of enterprise IT systems, infrastructure, and architecture.

• Proven experience in evaluating technical designs, system architectures, and engineering solutions for compliance with operational and security standards.

• Capability to provide technical oversight and advisory support to leadership and technical teams.

• Strong comprehension of system modernization, integration, and lifecycle management processes.

• Experience in identifying and alleviating technical risks, including issues related to scalability, performance, and interoperability.

• Proficient in reviewing and validating technical documentation, system designs, and engineering outputs.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems across various systems and platforms.

• Skillful in conveying technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and decision-makers.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE fitness determination (public trust) and execute a DHS Non-Disclosure Agreement.
