Technical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Adhere to company standards of conduct, Core Values, Code of Conduct, and Operational Guidelines.

• Ensure the highest safety standards are maintained and follow protocols to safeguard the health of teams and guests.

• Organize content and confirm that playlists align with the appropriate show flow.

• Monitor the requirements for special event coverage.

• Conduct daily inspections to verify that picture and audio quality meet company presentation criteria.

• Notify the Presentation department of any visual or audio discrepancies.

• Review the Ticket Monitor to confirm that shows are assigned to auditoriums that fulfill their technical requirements.

• Oversee bookings and private event schedules for updates and cancellations.

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the projection booth.

• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities.

• Safely replace xenon lamps in both 35mm and digital systems.

• Repair and upkeep cinema AV equipment.

• Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Technical Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient understanding of digital projection systems.

• Experience in preventative maintenance.

• Familiarity with digital cinema file types and their distribution.

• Basic IT skills and troubleshooting abilities.

• Experience with audio-visual systems, including mixers and PA systems.

• Basic knowledge of various cable types for video and audio devices.

• In-depth understanding of 35mm projection systems is advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Basic knowledge of cinema audio systems.

• Experience with organizational tools such as Google Docs and Airtable.

• Capability to work independently without direct supervision.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

• Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Some travel may be necessary.

• Openness to working at multiple venues in certain markets.
