Lead Maintenance Engineer – Gas

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance and provide support for Reactive Maintenance of Gas assets throughout the Anglian Water region.

• Strategically plan, organize, and implement the scheduled maintenance across the region.

• Oversee contractors during maintenance activities that are planned.

• Assist Engineers in their daily tasks.

• Organize and prioritize workloads based on business requirements.

• Contribute to projects related to optimization, installation, and capital intervention.

• Coordinate and direct PPM operations.

• Offer technical and specialized support to Engineers and local boiler operators.

• Improve the performance of Gas assets.

• Support the Gas Manager by attending meetings and helping with planning schedules.

• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures.

• Aid in minimizing operating costs.

• Confirm that all PPM activities are performed and properly documented.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least NVQ Level 3 or HNC, preferably with an Electrical focus, though Mechanical is acceptable (essential).

• Required formal gas qualifications (GasSafe / I-Gas) (essential).

• CompEx qualification is a plus.

• Experience in planned preventative maintenance is necessary.

• Operational and maintenance experience with Gas assets is required.

• Familiarity with Advanced Digestion is advantageous.

• Supervisory or management experience or a recognized qualification is preferred.

• Skills in coaching and mentoring are important.

• Demonstrated experience in fault finding and problem solving.

• Strong understanding of Health and Safety practices is crucial.

• Excellent communication skills are required.

• Proficient in IT usage.

• A flexible approach to work, with availability for out-of-hours management standby.

• A full driving license is essential.
