This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Manage workflow, staffing, budget distribution, scheduling, and execution for assigned projects.
• Direct the engineering and technical aspects of ongoing projects.
• Set up inspection criteria to ensure proper implementation of project components.
• Outline project requirements, scopes, and deliverables.
• Design, develop, and deploy IT infrastructure, systems, and software solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate IT issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to security policies, regulatory standards, and best practices.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and user manuals.
• Work alongside project staff to formulate strategic action plans and cost estimates.
• Facilitate and contribute to project planning and design efforts.
• Evaluate and recommend project materials, equipment, and methodologies.
• Assess vendor qualifications, capabilities, resources, and financial stability.
• Monitor development project progress and compare actual costs against estimates.
• Collaborate with the design team to amend plans when challenges arise.
• Partner with other engineers to exchange problems and solutions.
• Travel to client locations and perform hands-on networking and equipment tasks as necessary.
• A minimum of five years of experience in project management, engineering, systems design, or related fields.
• Advanced expertise in supporting, deploying, configuring, and applying best practices in Azure, AWS, and SharePoint.
• Advanced knowledge of server and networking hardware.
• Advanced skills in supporting, deploying, and configuring networking devices, firewalls, and switches.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong budgeting and cost management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Robust supervisory and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or comparable software.
• Basic understanding of ISO 9000 design standards.
• Capability to spend extended periods standing, speaking, walking, driving, and/or sitting.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Position may require travel up to 40% of the time.
