Technical Editor / Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Offer technical editing assistance throughout the creation of methodologies and other technical documents within the VCS Program.

• Accurately edit documents for both technical content and copy, utilizing tracked changes and comments.

• Maintain internal consistency across edited documents regarding technical concepts and writing style.

• Revise text to align with Verra's style guidelines, ensuring the correct use of US English.

• Promote user-friendly understanding of technical concepts.

• Propose enhancements to documents when applicable.

• Collaborate with specialists from the program development and innovation team.

• Assist in ensuring methodologies, program documents, and other technical documents are precise, concise, and user-friendly.

• Contribute to technical documents across other Verra programs as needed.

• Experience in editing technical content and language.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient in conveying technical information to a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Strong background in science.

• Technical knowledge in a field related to Verra programs.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Degree in a relevant discipline.

• Native proficiency in English.

• Capability to work remotely, involving regular computer-based tasks and virtual meetings.

• Dependable internet access.

• Ability to effectively communicate with Verra stakeholders during agreed-upon working hours.

• Access to necessary equipment, workspace, and internet connectivity to deliver the required services.
