This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Establish and articulate a comprehensive technical vision, ensuring adherence to best practices in architecture, software development, and emerging technologies. Serve as the ultimate authority on crucial design and delivery decisions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, and senior stakeholders. Facilitate discovery workshops, convert business objectives into technical strategies, and create customized solution proposals.
• Supervise technical execution, guaranteeing quality, scalability, and maintainability. Monitor project health, identify potential risks, and ensure favorable outcomes through proactive leadership.
• Collaborate with resourcing teams to secure the appropriate talent for projects. Cultivate a culture of excellence, mentorship, and innovation across teams.
• Manage project burn-down, optimize resource allocation, and pinpoint opportunities for revenue growth while upholding financial accountability.
• Stay at the forefront of industry trends, contribute to open-source initiatives, and participate in public speaking, blog writing, and mentorship. Advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and sustainability initiatives within Nearform.
• Over 15 years of experience in technical leadership, preferably in consulting, SaaS, or large-scale digital transformation projects.
• Profound knowledge in software architecture, cloud platforms, and contemporary development practices.
• A proven history of steering technical decisions on complex, high-impact projects.
• Experience in leading pre-sales, discovery, and solution design discussions.
• Exceptional ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A consultative approach, capable of aligning business needs with technical strategies.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills to influence across all levels.
• Practical experience with AI, databases, distributed systems, and modern software engineering best practices.
• Experience in leading and mentoring senior software development teams.
