Technical Designer – Pattern Maker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Develop, update, and manage detailed digital tech packs, which encompass comprehensive bills of materials (BOM), measurement charts, and vector construction diagrams.

• Lead or engage in remote fitting sessions through video conferencing platforms.

• Assess fit using high-resolution images, videos, or 3D digital avatars.

• Define and grade point-of-measurement specifications across all size categories.

• Communicate asynchronously with both overseas and domestic manufacturers to resolve issues related to construction, sewing, and assembly via digital PLM or email.

• Convert 2D design sketches into accurate production-ready patterns utilizing digital CAD software.

• Employ 3D simulation tools to evaluate fabric drape, tension, and fit in a digital environment.

• Supervise the digital grading of production patterns to guarantee proportional fit across all sizes.

• Arrange, export, and provide clean digital pattern files to factory production teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related discipline is advantageous.

• 3+ years of advanced experience in digital pattern-making software (Clo3D, Browzwear, Gerber Accumark, Optitex, or Lectra) and Adobe Illustrator.

• 3–5 years of experience in the apparel industry focused on technical design and pattern drafting.

• Demonstrated background in apparel development, particularly in intimate wear.

• High level of autonomy with a proven capability to troubleshoot complex garment construction challenges independently.

• Dependable, high-speed internet connection.

• A quiet workspace that is conducive to video fit reviews.

• A portfolio that highlights technical design work, including digital tech packs, CAD patterns, 3D prototypes, and fit assessments.

• A strong desire to learn.
