Design Accelerator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Navigate the complete digital design and research workflow for a chosen startup concept.

• Create digital products and services from the ground up.

• Oversee product and feature scoping along with comprehensive project management.

• Identify target markets and strategically position products for successful launches.

• Integrate AI tools into the user experience design process.

• Design AI features and products utilizing AI-specific design parameters and heuristics.

• Promote ethical AI design that fosters user trust.

• Develop scalable business models for products or services.

• Conduct discovery research, encompassing user recruitment, research plans, interview guides, 8–16 discovery interviews, and synthesis of insights.

• Present UX design and business pitches supported by both qualitative and quantitative data.

• Create user stories and visual deliverables including personas, stakeholder maps, journey maps, process maps, service blueprints, ideation matrices, sketches, wireframes, workflows, and prototypes.

• Facilitate user testing of wireframes and prototypes, iterating on startup ideas.

• Establish a design system, components, style guide, and branding from the ground up.

• Analyze both direct and indirect competitors and articulate unique solution differentiators.

• Consult with startups to execute UX research, UX design, product design, and service design work based on a defined scope of work.

• Open to business owners, startup founders, recent graduates, and career changers.

• Interest in entrepreneurship, developing a digital app, AI application, or digital startup concept.

• Willing to dedicate 5–10 hours per week to accomplish program deliverables.

• Available to attend 2–3 hour weekend lectures or complete online video course modules.

• Open to receiving feedback from mentors and willing to revise design work accordingly.

• Required to submit a LinkedIn profile and resume with the application.

• Must complete an application form and participate in a brief interview process if contacted.
