
Technical Designer β 3-month contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Develop, implement, and refine gameplay elements such as game flow, interactive objects, player abilities, narrative and audio event hooks, scripted sequences, tutorial/help systems, and address bugs.
β’ Work closely with both artists and designers to enhance the implementation of game content, leveraging existing technology to achieve optimal results.
β’ Partner with engineers to streamline design workflows and actualize gameplay concepts while adhering to performance and technical limitations.
β’ Collaborate with producers and team leaders to evaluate requirements and provide effort estimates and updates, ensuring the team meets its objectives efficiently.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in game development, with at least 2 years focused on Technical Design.
β’ Proficiency and comfort with modern text-based scripting languages.
β’ Experience in shipping at least one product, preferably an exploration and/or horror game.
β’ Demonstrated self-direction and the ability to excel in a fast-paced and technical environment.
β’ Excellent interdisciplinary collaboration skills, including both verbal and written communication abilities.
