Freelance Apparel Designer – Streetwear, Lifestyle

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Define the product vision for apparel and lifestyle collections, including silhouettes, fits, fabrications, colorways, and styling.

• Create designs from initial concept to final production for items such as tees, caps, outerwear, totes, and accessories, incorporating graphics, trims, and detailing.

• Choose and adjust garment blanks as necessary; specify fabric weights, washes, and finishes.

• Develop tech packs and production-ready files, collaborating with sourcing partners throughout the sampling and fit approval process.

• Monitor streetwear and lifestyle trends in South East Asia and worldwide, translating these insights into a cohesive range perspective.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience designing apparel within streetwear, contemporary, or lifestyle categories.

• A portfolio showcasing completed work - items that have been manufactured and sold, rather than merely conceptual pieces.

• Proven taste and understanding of trends: ability to explain why a fit, weight, or shape aligns with a brand and its current context.

• Strong technical knowledge: garment specifications, fabrication, tech packs, and the sampling process.

• Graphic aptitude - capable of designing or art-directing prints and embroidery in conjunction with products.

• Extensive knowledge of street culture, music, and design, particularly in the South East Asian context.

• Self-motivated and dependable in meeting deadlines; able to work remotely with a team based in Singapore.

• Bonus: experience working with artists or musicians, or the ability to create a label or capsule collection from the ground up.
