Technical Consultant, D365

📋 Description

• Act as the lead Technical Consultant for Enterprise and Strategic Enterprise accounts utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365, assisting complex, high-impact customers in multi-entity, multi-ERP, and global financial settings.

• Serve as a technical advisor to clients and Ramp's internal teams, facilitating high-value implementations and expansion opportunities by guiding D365 integration, configuration, and system design.

• Collaborate with Customer Activation and Account Management teams to evaluate customer needs and propose scalable solutions that incorporate D365 Finance & Operations, HRIS, and API integrations.

• Work alongside onboarding specialists and implementation leads to support technical workstreams, ensuring quicker time-to-value and customer success.

• Assist customers in overcoming technical obstacles and suggest effective product implementations with an in-depth understanding of D365 integration and configuration options.

• Engage in technical discovery to grasp customer D365 environments and workflows, recommending the optimal Ramp architecture, including when and how to utilize Ramp's API.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Ramp's accounting integration capabilities, collaborating with Sales, Product, and partners to promote integration development that aligns with customer requirements.

• Diagnose D365 integration issues and guide customers through intricate configuration choices.

• Contribute to internal documentation and tools that enhance Ramp's capacity to support D365 integration use cases across a growing client base.

• Shape Ramp's product roadmap by relaying D365 customer challenges and feedback to the Product and Engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or a related discipline.

• Over 4 years of experience in technical consulting, solutions engineering, implementation, or a comparable customer-facing technical role, preferably in a SaaS or fintech environment.

• More than 3 years of direct experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations and/or Business Central), including integration patterns and enterprise deployment models.

• Strong familiarity with D365 finance and accounting workflows, such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, financial dimensions, and legal entity structures.

• Comfortable working with APIs, integration logic, and system architecture, able to communicate these concepts to finance and operations stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to address enterprise-driven gaps, influencing roadmap decisions that facilitate scale for Ramp's largest customers.

• Provide advice on non-standard D365 implementations and edge cases, balancing customer requirements with long-term platform scalability and supportability.

• Excellent communication skills: capable of converting complex technical solutions into business value and guiding customers toward scalable strategies.

• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering.

• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach and a strong sense of ownership.
