Technical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Analyze Client Data: Collaborate directly with clients to gain insights into their source systems (such as HRIS like Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, etc.), data structures, and business rules pertaining to compensation, performance, and employee master data.

• Define, document, and validate the comprehensive data integration strategy, which includes data transformation, cleansing, and mapping from source formats to beqom's required data model.

• Create detailed technical specifications for Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes.

• Configure and oversee data transfer processes utilizing beqom’s native APIs for real-time or near real-time integrations, as well as SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) channels for batch data uploads.

• Use and enhance our in-house integration tools and custom-built data processing layers to manage complex data transformation and validation logic.

• Leverage and configure Workato (or similar leading Integration Platform as a Service - iPaaS tools) to develop scalable, low-code/no-code integration recipes between client systems and beqom.

• Conduct comprehensive unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with client requirements and beqom's data standards.

• Act as the subject matter expert on data integration best practices, guiding clients on the most efficient and scalable integration approach for their environment.

• Diagnose, analyze, and resolve intricate data and integration challenges during both implementation and post-go-live support phases.

• Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation of all integration interfaces, data models, and transformation logic.

• Actively collaborate with internal project managers, functional consultants, and development teams to ensure smooth data delivery and alignment of technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in Data Consulting, Integration Development, or ETL/ELT development, ideally in a SaaS environment.

• Expert understanding of data integration methods, including experience with RESTful/SOAP APIs for data extraction and ingestion, along with hands-on experience in testing/debugging APIs using Postman (or similar tools) and managing JSON/XML payloads.

• Proficiency in file transfer protocols such as SFTP/FTPS.

• Strong SQL skills for data querying, manipulation, and analysis.

• Familiarity with modern Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) for scripting, code management, and development tasks related to data integration (e.g., VS Code).

• Proven experience with an iPaaS platform is a significant advantage (Workato preferred), or experience with similar tools such as Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, or Informatica.

• Experience with Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, or Financial data is highly desirable.

• Excellent client-facing and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the capability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple integration projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
