Technical Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Collect, analyze, and document data and reporting needs across various business divisions to facilitate the delivery of a centralized, self-service data platform.

• Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineering, and tech operations teams to convert business requirements into precise, traceable technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria, utilizing Jira and Azure DevOps to ensure alignment with agile delivery cycles.

• Oversee requirements, planning, and validation processes for the comprehensive migration, reconciliation, and testing of five key data domains, ensuring continuity in reporting and alignment with business objectives.

• Retain ownership of current data reporting and operational support functions, swiftly identifying and rectifying reporting or data quality issues.

• Record both current and future state processes, data flows, and governance standards, ensuring documentation is clear, accessible, and version-controlled.

• Contribute to foundational Data Strategy initiatives, including Master Data Management (MDM), data lineage, data cataloging, and the development of governance artifacts.

• Ensure alignment of all data initiatives with organizational data governance, security, privacy, and compliance standards.

• Assist in testing and validation processes, including UAT preparation, issue tracking, and verification of both migrated and newly developed data solutions.

• Track project progress, dependencies, and risks, proactively escalating issues and proposing solutions to uphold delivery timelines.

• Create and deliver high-quality reports and dashboards using Power BI (with proficiency in DAX and SQL) to provide actionable insights for program teams and senior management.

• Exhibit flexibility to support team priorities as required, readily adjusting to assist across various tasks and initiatives.

• Take responsibility and ownership of deliverables, working autonomously without close supervision while actively collaborating and contributing to team success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, ideally in data-centric and product-focused environments.

• Strong practical experience with Power BI and DAX, including the creation of dashboards, reporting solutions, and translating business insights into actionable data.

• Proficiency in Databricks and SQL for data analysis, querying, and supporting analytics and reporting initiatives.

• Practical experience using Confluence for documentation, collaboration, and knowledge management.

• Proven expertise in technical documentation, encompassing requirement gathering, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.

• Experience leading UAT activities, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the successful realization of business outcomes.

• Solid understanding of data governance and data management practices, including MDM, RBAC/ABAC, PII compliance, data lineage, and cataloging.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the capability to collaborate across both technical and non-technical teams.

• Strong documentation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver results in fast-paced environments, and work independently.
