This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide architectural direction and mentorship within the designated business area
• Convert business strategies, Architecture Vision, and Architecture Runway into actionable solutions, architectures, and features
• Propel the technology vision forward and assess new technologies and external products
• Integrate components of the enterprise Architecture Runway into phased development plans
• Create and uphold technology standards, guiding technical designs to reach consensus and approval
• Engage in the Enterprise Architecture Community of Practice to foster enterprise architecture, governance, and roadmap development
• Steer architecture, technology vision, and implementation while guiding developers
• Oversee personnel responsibilities for direct reports in a player/coach capacity, as applicable
• Evaluate technology industry and market trends and their implications for the business
• Align architecture vision and runway with business strategies and portfolio objectives
• Collaborate with team members to define software best practices and requirements
• Assist development teams in embracing and understanding technology
• Fulfill performance-plan responsibilities, special projects, and other assigned tasks
• Collaborate with global teams and participate in meetings across different time zones
• Travel internationally up to 25% as necessary
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Over 8 years of experience in application/solution, technical/infrastructure, or information/data architecture
• At least 1 year of direct experience leading architecture and software design for one or more teams
• Practical experience with greenfield development and refactoring/rewriting legacy applications
• Experience in an Agile environment, preferably using SAFe
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices
• Proficient in utilizing open-source technologies in an enterprise setting
• Experience with a variety of technologies and processing environments
• Preference for experience with microservices, containerization, and virtual machines
• Capacity to quickly grasp new technologies
• Ability to weigh long-term and short-term consequences of decisions
• Skill in translating business requirements into architectural specifications
• Capability to articulate advanced technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Competence in estimating the financial implications of architectural options
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, and technical abilities
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Strong leadership, teamwork, facilitation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
• Capacity to operate independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
• Flexibility to engage in international work processes and calls across global time zones
• Must be eligible for international travel when required
• Must be capable of working remotely from a secure, dedicated workspace with reliable high-speed internet
