Technical Applications Specialist, East Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Offer primary assistance to ADD customers and field staff for intricate instruments, including onsite integration, assay training, and troubleshooting.

• Address instrument and reagent challenges both onsite and remotely, recording details in the complaint management system.

• Spearhead complex instrument and reagent integrations at client locations.

• Partner with project managers to implement technical plans.

• Conduct initial interviews, evaluate customer requirements, and manage expectations.

• Plan and supervise integration procedures.

• Deliver onsite operational training to clients.

• Oversee integration timelines and perform exit interviews.

• Provide onsite and remote technical assistance for hardware, software, and reagent-related issues.

• Diagnose performance-related concerns to enhance customer self-sufficiency.

• Record complaints and resolutions within the CAPA system.

• Identify product and process deficiencies to foster continuous improvement.

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for internal teams.

• Provide insights on product performance and customer usability.

• Support account management during critical situations.

• Maintain technical expertise and adhere to work processes, safety protocols, and documentation standards.

• Manage projects, time, and customer accounts in alignment with organizational priorities and sales goals.

• Influence customer satisfaction in a highly visible role.

• Work independently while collaborating across teams and functions.

• Drive CAPA effectiveness through accurate documentation and resolution of customer issues.

• Maintain integrity and transparency in interactions with customers and internally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or another Health Science-related discipline.

• Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, technical call center, or with Abbott Diagnostics products.

• Must currently reside in the East Region area.

• Preferably live in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, or West Virginia.

• Must be willing to travel 90% or more.

• Relocation assistance is not available.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology.

• Preferred: Four years of experience in a clinical laboratory environment, ideally in Chemistry and Immunoassay at a hospital, clinic, reference lab, or physician office laboratory.
