Technical Advisor III, Development Finance – Water and Environment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design and execution of innovative financial strategies, standards, tools, and best practices aimed at enhancing water security, restoring watersheds, building climate resilience, and implementing nature-based solutions.

• Offer technical solutions and advisory services to country, regional, and global teams regarding development finance methods, partnership frameworks, financial mechanisms, and sustainable financing strategies.

• Work closely with the Global Water Security, Livelihoods, Markets, Agriculture and Climate (LMAC), and Innovative Finance teams to incorporate development finance methodologies.

• Manage and support capacity-building initiatives related to development finance for water and environmental programming through training, mentoring, coaching, technical exchanges, and learning events.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, environment, engineering, or related fields.

• At least 10 years of experience in managing complex projects and engaging with donors, governments, and private sector partners in the domain of water security and environmental development.

• Experience working on projects across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and/or the Middle East.

• A demonstrated history of mobilizing capital and building partnerships with donors, development partners, financial institutions, scientists, and technical experts.

• Proficiency in English.

• Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
