Technical Advisor, Electronic Health Records (EHR) Modernization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Deliver specialized training and technical support for EHR implementation in both healthcare and public health environments.

• Facilitate the successful adoption and integration of a state-wide EHR modernization initiative aimed at serving rural hospitals, clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), Mental and Behavioral Health organizations, and various rural healthcare collaborators.

• Provide exceptional technical assistance and training to healthcare organizations and their partners involved in the initiative.

• Create and sustain training curricula, implementation guidelines, workflow tools, and technical resource materials.

• Aid healthcare partners in enhancing digital health adoption, operational efficiency, and user engagement.

• Play a key role in achieving measurable enhancements in EHR utilization, interoperability preparedness, workflow integration, and staff competency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Health Informatics, Nursing, Health Policy, or a related area (Master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory).

• 3–5 years of experience in healthcare operations or health information technology support.

• Experience in rural or mixed urban-rural healthcare settings is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in EHR systems, telehealth, virtual care, or health IT implementation.

• Strong skills in instructional design and adult education; capable of delivering engaging and effective training sessions.

• Experience in providing hands-on technical assistance within healthcare or public health settings.

• Familiarity with clinical workflows, operational processes, and the integration of digital solutions.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.

• Capability to analyze data and offer actionable recommendations to enhance implementation outcomes.
