This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership and lead technical projects from initial product ideation through to successful implementation, encompassing technical decisions, architectural designs, data structures, and development methodologies.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to create high-performance, user-focused features that have a direct impact on clients in the private equity sector.
• Advocate for platform reliability and data integrity while sustaining development speed, making informed choices that enhance both technical quality and product results.
• Mentor and guide engineers at all levels, with opportunities to transition into direct people management, fostering a culture of continuous learning and cultivating future technical leaders.
• Recognize and promote new technologies and best practices to encourage a culture of ongoing improvement.
• Minimum of 9 years of professional development experience, demonstrating a successful history in leading intricate technical projects.
• Proficiency in Typescript, Node, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL, particularly in schema and API design.
• Strong understanding of frontend frameworks and patterns, such as React and React Query.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and devise solutions that consider cross-system implications—encompassing data models, validations, application logic, and user workflows.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to achieve consensus among stakeholders and simplify complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
• A history of balancing technical solutions with business objectives, making informed trade-offs that address both immediate needs and the long-term health of the platform.
• Nice-to-haves:
• Experience in implementing and extending modern JavaScript libraries such as SpreadJS, HyperFormula, FinnFlo-js, and AG Grid.
• Background in developing computation-intensive services where accuracy and performance are crucial.
• Experience in adapting complex data models to accommodate evolving application use cases.
• Enthusiasm for emerging tools that enhance developer productivity, including AI-assisted coding.
