Tech Lead – Feature Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Dedicate a considerable portion of your time to crafting high-quality backend code, tackling the most intricate technical challenges personally.

• Steer the technical trajectory of your team utilizing Scala and Python for robust backend data systems, alongside TypeScript for full-stack feature implementation.

• Regularly employ and champion AI coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools) within your daily activities, mentoring your team on their efficient use to accelerate code delivery.

• Engage deeply with the product vision. You don't merely create specifications; you grasp the objectives and refine your technical decisions to provide optimal product value.

• Take ownership of your team's feature lifecycle, ensuring they are architected for multi-tenant cloud scalability and effectively deployed in production.

• Mentor and support your 3-4 engineers through pair programming, thorough code reviews, and technical mentorship, elevating the standards for the entire team.

• Maintain an unwavering focus on achieving team milestones, proactively addressing obstacles, and enhancing team performance.

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to refine features, challenge assumptions when needed, and transform ambitious concepts into actionable technical tasks.

• Take pride in your deliverables. Ensure that your team’s features operate smoothly, securely, and efficiently in the cloud, providing quick resolutions to any arising issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive backend engineering experience in building and scaling cloud-native SaaS platforms.

• Proven experience in writing production-level code in Scala, with Python or TypeScript being significant advantages.

• Profound experience utilizing AI coding agents in your daily tasks. You understand how to prompt them effectively, critically assess AI-generated code for security or architectural issues, and leverage them to enhance your engineering efficiency.

• A passion for coding and system building. You prefer solving technical challenges and delivering features over conventional management paperwork.

• A strong interest in the rationale behind your work. You are driven by achieving product objectives and enhancing the platform for end users.

• A commitment to taking full responsibility for your team's output. If there are issues or deadlines are at risk, you take initiative to resolve them.

• Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken) to align your small team and collaborate effectively with product owners.
