Tech Lead Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical guidance for intricate, high-impact projects, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with both product and business objectives.

• Spearhead system and component-level architecture design in collaboration with engineers and architects.

• Take ownership of the complete technical execution for key initiatives, from design to delivery, while proactively managing risks and dependencies.

• Convert high-level designs into well-defined tasks, estimates, and implementation strategies.

• Design, implement, and enhance cloud-native architectures utilizing microservices, event-driven systems, and API-first design principles.

• Establish and uphold engineering standards through code reviews, CI/CD, testing, TDD, observability, and DevOps methodologies.

• Build, prioritize, and manage technical debt while driving performance, scalability, and reliability enhancements based on data-driven insights.

• Mentor and coach engineers, promoting engineering judgment, collaboration, ownership, continuous learning, and skill enhancement.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX, QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver solutions that satisfy both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Articulate technical trade-offs, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Support alignment between product priorities and technical implementation, ensuring predictable and high-quality delivery.

• Contribute hands-on, production-quality code for essential components and complex problem areas.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate production issues.

• Assess and integrate modern technologies and tools that enhance system reliability and team efficiency.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 12 years of professional software development experience creating complex, scalable business applications.

• Expert-level knowledge of the Microsoft stack, including C# / .NET Core and Angular.

• Strong practical experience with Azure cloud services, such as Durable Functions, App Services, Event Hubs, API Management, Azure AD, Key Vault, Blob Storage, AKS, and Service Fabric.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and managing distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs, including ODATA.

• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines (YAML), Git, Azure DevOps or GitHub, and modern DevOps practices.

• Strong database expertise with SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB, focusing on performance tuning and scalability.

• Significant experience with automated testing frameworks, TDD, and quality-driven development methodologies.

• Familiarity with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing along with the enforcement of testing best practices for full-stack applications.

• Experience with ERP, financial, or mission-critical SaaS platforms is a significant advantage.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a pragmatic, data-driven approach.

• Strong communication and influencing skills, capable of leading through expertise rather than authority.

• Commitment to continuous improvement and demonstrated dedication to engineering excellence and professional development.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% as business needs dictate.

• Sedentary role: primarily desk/computer work.
