Tech Lead – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Serve as the technical authority while overseeing the team, encompassing both technical leadership and people management.

• Drive the transition of the legacy system from Python 2.7 to a microservices architecture, enhancing stability and prolonging the application's lifespan.

• Ensure the reliability, observability, and security of the platform.

• Manage high event throughput and load balancing while adhering to processing SLAs.

• Lead the phase-out of jurispec/BPO and facilitate client migration to the proprietary API.

• Establish clear priorities in a fast-paced environment with numerous stakeholders and competing demands.

• Maintain direct technical communication with the product team and, when required, with clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in Python.

• Experience in integrating AI within software development.

• Proficient in working with databases.

• General understanding of DevOps practices, including GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Familiarity with security, particularly in the context of recurring penetration tests.

• Experience with both monolithic and microservices architectures.

• Background in managing large-scale and legacy systems.

• Effective communication skills with both technical and product stakeholders.

• Proven track record in technical leadership and people management.

• Ability to maintain resilience in high-priority scenarios with overlapping demands.

• A sense of ownership and maturity to ensure systems remain operational.

• Strong prioritization skills and clarity in decision-making involving trade-offs.

• Curiosity and a quick learning ability.
