Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take charge of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality in-app functionalities.

• Influence the development trajectory of the Android team.

• Manage, uphold, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in collaborative discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and deliver nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Proven experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• Motivation to innovate within the realm of Android UI/UX.

• Awareness of the significance of testing and methods for writing tests.

• Self-motivation to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Solid expertise in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.
