Tech Lead – Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Take charge of significant features while collaborating closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality in-app functionalities.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, uphold, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in conversations across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Take responsibility for feature releases and deliver nightly builds for the QA team.

• Assist the expanding Android app user base and contribute to new initiatives.

• Make product-related decisions and create user experiences that are enjoyable for users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficient understanding of Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• A strong desire to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Awareness of the significance of tests and how to approach test writing.

• Self-motivated to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Strong communication abilities.

• User-centric problem-solving mindset.

• Motivated by continuous feedback from leadership.
