Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team to provide top-notch in-app functionalities.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, sustain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and assist teammates.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and deliver nightly builds for the QA team.

• Participate in multiple technical interviews, aimed for completion within a week.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in developing or contributing to at least one Android application.

• A strong sense of product design and user empathy.

• A passion for advancing the capabilities of Android UI/UX.

• Awareness of the importance of testing and an understanding of how to write tests effectively.

• A proactive approach to enhancing the app and codebase beyond the initial specifications.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.
