Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features while collaborating closely with the design team to deliver top-notch app functionalities.

• Help define the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with teams across Product, Design, and Engineering.

• Review pull requests and provide support to team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Lead feature releases and ensure the QA team receives nightly builds.

• Participate in multiple technical interviews aimed for completion within a week.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Proven experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• An intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• A strong desire to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Comprehension of the significance of testing and strategies for writing tests.

• A proactive approach to enhancing the app and codebase beyond the initial specifications.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit testing.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• A user-centered problem-solving mindset.

• Experience receiving continuous feedback from leadership.
