Tech Lead – Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant Android app features while collaborating closely with the design team.

• Help shape the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with teams across Product, Design, and Engineering.

• Review pull requests and provide support to teammates.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges effectively.

• Oversee feature releases and deliver nightly builds for Quality Assurance.

• Support the expanding Android user base and initiate new projects.

• Participate in multiple technical interviews throughout the hiring process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Intuition for product design and a strong sense of user empathy.

• Motivation to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding of software testing practices and the ability to write tests.

• Self-motivated to enhance the app and codebase beyond the initial specifications.

• Proficient in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Strong communication skills.

• A user-focused approach to problem-solving.
