Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality functionalities.

• Help shape the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, sustain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and offer support to team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges effectively.

• Oversee feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.

• Complete a series of technical interviews, aimed to be finished within one week.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong product design intuition and user empathy.

• Motivation to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Comprehension of the significance of tests and approaches to writing them.

• Initiative to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Solid experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• A user-centered problem-solving approach.

• Driven by continuous feedback from leadership.

• Bonus: Experience in building, maintaining, or contributing to open source projects in Android.
