Team Manager, Financial Crime, Spanish Speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead a team consisting of approximately 12 Financial Crime Investigators

• Oversee the personal and professional growth of team members

• Offer technical coaching on tasks related to financial crime

• Encourage outstanding individual and team performance

• Support team members during challenging times and acknowledge their achievements

• Conduct weekly one-on-one and team meetings

• Collect team feedback and relay it to operational leadership to enhance processes and tools

• Engage actively in the hiring process and frequently serve as an interviewer

• Perform quality checks on senior financial crime investigators

• Address complex case escalations from senior financial crime investigators

• Cultivate a positive, supportive, and high-performance team culture

• Chair employee relations cases and make decisions that align with Monzo’s values

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both English and Spanish, in written and spoken forms

• Extensive experience in team leadership within Financial Crime in the financial services industry

• Demonstrated capability to drive exceptional performance through others

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the financial sector

• Previous experience in conducting financial crime investigations in areas such as Financial Crime Business Banking, Anti Money Laundering, or Screening is required

• Strong understanding of the current financial crime landscape in the UK and EU, along with related financial crime risks

• Willingness to work during team operating hours of 8am–6:30pm, based on an 8.5-hour day with a 1-hour lunch, including occasional weekend work

• Ability to commence employment on January 4, 2027, and to commit to the first 8 weeks without taking any holidays or time off

• Must reside in the UK; visa sponsorship and relocation to the UK are not available

• Successful completion of a written and verbal Spanish language assessment
