This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Guides and provides technical mentorship and leadership to a small group of software engineers.
• Performs pull request reviews to ensure security, stability, performance, and code readability.
• Proactively manages the team's development workflow, defining and scoping work regardless of ambiguity or clarity.
• Writes high-quality, efficient, scalable, and reusable code without bugs.
• Designs and develops components and features with an emphasis on performance and scalability.
• Creates APIs and web applications capable of efficiently processing complex data.
• Conducts unit tests and takes responsibility for the quality of both personal and team code.
• Transforms monolithic applications into modern microservices.
• Offers insights on our architecture, databases, and APIs.
• Collaborates with product managers to define, scope, and strategize new features.
• Partners with QA to ensure cohesive, high-quality, and usable solutions are delivered.
• Tests, assesses, and recommends technologies to enhance our overall solutions.
• Plays a vital role in our agile development process.
• Produces comprehensive documentation.
• Over 12 years of professional development experience.
• More than 2 years of experience successfully guiding engineers technically.
• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
• Deeply familiar with computer science fundamentals and software architecture.
• Significant experience with React.js, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
• Substantial web development experience in at least one of Java, C#, or Python.
• Extensive experience with SQL; familiarity with NoSQL is a plus.
• Preferred experience with Node.js, particularly in microservices.
• Preferred experience with containerized application deployments, especially using Docker.
• Preferred experience with large-scale data systems.
• A passion for transforming monolithic applications into modern microservices.
• Preferred experience with message queueing architectures, especially RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services, particularly EC2, S3, VPC, Elasticsearch, and Kinesis.
• Any experience with IoT is a significant advantage.
• Ability to create designs and build applications from requirements and engage with product and engineering stakeholders.
• Experience executing products, features, or enhancements through the complete development lifecycle.
• Experience in supporting production products.
