This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Actively drive sales while overseeing a small team of Account Executives.
• Build and sustain relationships with brokers and sellers in the designated Sales area.
• Meet or exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Identify, reach out to, and secure approval from new mortgage brokers and sellers.
• Forge and maintain broker/seller partnerships to ensure a consistent flow of loan applications and purchases.
• Provide guidance to brokers and sellers regarding company programs, pricing, and submission policies and procedures.
• Assist with loan submissions and train brokers and sellers on online submission systems, automated underwriting, rate sheets, and loan locking procedures.
• Oversee the loan pipeline to meet departmental objectives.
• Ensure compliance with deadlines and lending regulations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and safeguard confidential customer information.
• Recruit, train, assign, direct, monitor, reward, and discipline employees in collaboration with senior TPO sales leadership.
• Manage, coach, and mentor Account Executives to achieve sales objectives and foster broker relationships.
• Ensure CRM updates for sales activities, marketing initiatives, and broker/contact records.
• Evaluate new broker applications for completeness.
• Address sales or operational challenges and collaborate with operations staff on file processing.
• Represent Carrington at trade shows or industry meetings as required.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• 2–5+ years of experience in mortgage origination, preferably within a multi-state organization.
• At least 2 years of experience with government mortgage products.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with non-agency/Non-QM mortgage products.
• Prior experience in building Account Executive teams in the mortgage sector is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record are required.
• Capability to promote Non-Agency/Non-QM, Government, Conventional, 2nd Mortgages, and other specialized lending products.
• Understanding of state and federal lending regulations and laws.
