Team Lead Java Engineer, Retail

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architecture, solution design, development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of a collection of 300+ RESTful microservices.

• Lead a team of approximately 5 developers by conducting 1:1 meetings, performance evaluations, monitoring progress, and implementing improvements.

• Actively engage in coding tasks and complete assignments personally, rather than solely delegating responsibilities.

• Perform code reviews, uphold coding and architectural best practices, and offer constructive feedback.

• Guide team members in their professional growth, assist in their development, conduct developer interviews, and exemplify the use of AI coding assistants to enhance quality and efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience leading and taking ownership of developer teams and software projects.

• Over 5 years of experience in modern Java programming, with a strong emphasis on clean code and best practices.

• Strong comprehension of microservice architectures and AWS services.

• At least 3 years of practical experience with Spring technologies, including Spring Boot.

• Exceptional ability to clarify business needs, collaborate across teams, and balance ideal API design with real-world business requirements; experience with AI coding tools is a plus.
