Team Lead, Accounts Receivable

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable team by providing direction, training, coaching, counseling, problem-solving, and performance evaluation.

• Act as a subject matter expert in billing, collections, denial management, and payment processing.

• Manage claims follow-up, billing, collections, payment processing, and account resolution tasks.

• Track AR work queues, productivity goals, aging targets, and key performance indicators including days in AR, denial rates, and collection ratios.

• Assess AR processes, pinpoint denial and underpayment trends, and suggest enhancements.

• Conduct production audits, account evaluations, side-by-side reviews, reporting, and quality assessments.

• Offer feedback and coaching on AR performance, adherence to payer guidelines, and effectiveness of collections.

• Ensure team members receive adequate training and resources; report training deficiencies and system issues to management.

• Aid in the escalation and resolution of complex AR accounts, payer disputes, and outstanding claims.

• Support the manager with workload allocation, staffing, scheduling, and tracking productivity.

• Engage in or lead AR initiatives aimed at process enhancement, revenue cycle optimization, and organizational objectives.

• Collaborate with billing, intake, clinical, and customer service teams to boost revenue cycle performance.

• Relay AR trends, payer challenges, staffing issues, and operational risks to leadership.

• Supervise daily production, work quality, coaching, and support of team members.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

• Six months of relevant experience at DASCO.

• Strong understanding of AR processes, payer guidelines, and billing systems.

• No active disciplinary actions.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, with shifts assigned by the manager.

• Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary.

• Capability to sit, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Required close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
