Tax Research Representative – Seasonal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Deliver expert written tax research assistance to H&R Block’s network of tax professionals through internal chat platforms.

• Provide prompt and precise written responses to intricate tax inquiries submitted via the online chat service.

• Investigate and evaluate federal, international, state, and local tax matters utilizing tax research tools and internal resources.

• Resolve tax-related issues involving individual, business, estate, and trust tax returns.

• Work in conjunction with team members and leaders to handle incoming chat traffic and fulfill service expectations.

• Ensure precision, clarity, and professionalism in all written communications.

• Keep abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and company policies through continuous training and learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience through a combination of education and related work experience.

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.

• Strong knowledge of tax law and proficient research capabilities.

• Previous customer service experience is preferred.

• Ability to investigate and assess federal, international, state, and local tax issues.

• Capability to troubleshoot scenarios related to individual, business, estate, and trust tax returns.

• High standards for accuracy, clarity, and professionalism in written communication.

• Ability to remain up-to-date on changes in tax laws, regulations, and company policies.
