This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze intricate federal and state tax returns, emphasizing precision, adherence to regulations, and discovering tax-saving possibilities.
• Act as the main liaison for key clients, providing continuous tax planning, strategic advice, and proactive updates.
• Educate, guide, and delegate tasks to senior and staff accountants, nurturing a positive and cooperative team atmosphere.
• Oversee workflow, deadlines, and budgets for the tax department during peak periods and throughout the year.
• Address complex tax challenges and perform advanced research utilizing modern tax automation tools.
• Supervise the firm's tax compliance and planning activities, encompassing tax filings, research, and audits.
• Counsel leadership on the tax ramifications of business decisions.
• Examine intricate corporate, partnership, individual, trust, non-profit, and gift tax returns.
• Champion proactive tax planning.
• Valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; a Master of Science in Taxation (MST) or MBA is highly advantageous.
• 5 to 8+ years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting setting.
• Extensive understanding of current tax legislation, multi-jurisdictional compliance, and proficiency with tax preparation and research software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding critical thinking abilities, and proven success in client relationship management.
